Description:
Stantec is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Buildings Project to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will represent the client by supervising on-site construction activities and ensuring all work complies with approved designs, contractual obligations, quality standards, and project schedules.
This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong PMC or consultant-side experience who can effectively oversee contractor performance, monitor project progress, and report technical matters to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager while ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contract requirements.
• Verify compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer and Project Manager on technical and progress-related matters.
• Review construction activities and identify issues requiring corrective action.
• Ensure project documentation and site inspections are completed accurately.
• Support the successful delivery of medium to large-scale building projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant construction experience, preferably on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Proven PMC or consultant-side experience in construction supervision and contractor management.
• Valid SOE and DMT registrations are mandatory.
• Previous UAE work experience is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage construction activities while maintaining quality and schedule objectives.
