The Commissions Specialist will work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate commission calculations, reporting, and payments for both internal sales representatives and external agents. This position is ideal for intellectually curious candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn about commission structures, financial workflows, and process optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation, calculation, and processing of commissions based on established structures for internal and external sales teams
- Analyzing sales and financial data to ensure accurate commission payouts and resolving discrepancies professionally
- Collaborating with sales and finance teams to understand commission workflows and their impact on overall business operations
- Communicating with master agents, subagents, and internal stakeholders to address commission inquiries and clarify calculations
- Maintaining accurate records of commission structures, adjustments, and payments for transparency and reporting
- Creating reports and performing analyses to identify trends, improve accuracy, and support decision-making
- Supporting process improvements by identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation within commission workflows
- Assisting with audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate data and documentation
Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn complex concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs) is required, and familiarity with other data analysis tools is a plus. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
