Commercial Manager – Civil Contracting (Dubai)
An established top-tier contracting firm is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to oversee commercial functions across civil contracting projects in Dubai. The role requires deep technical and contractual knowledge, proven commercial leadership, and hands-on experience managing cost, claims and contractual risk on large-scale projects.
Key Details & Requirements:
• Location: Dubai, UAE.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Salary: Up to AED 38,000 per month.
• Experience: 7–10 years in commercial management within civil contracting, including at least 5 years’ experience in the UAE.
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar. Professional accreditations such as MRICS, PMP or CCCM are strongly preferred.
• Expertise: Solid understanding of UAE contract law, FIDIC Conditions of Contract, contract administration, and dispute resolution techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the commercial and contractual management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
• Drive cost control activities, budget management and financial forecasting to protect project margins.
• Prepare, manage and negotiate claims, variations and commercial correspondence.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation measures in coordination with project and senior management.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior commercial staff and support audit/close-out activities.
