Job Overview:
Join GES as a Client Services Manager supporting tradeshow production from planning through final invoicing and on-site execution. You’ll act as the primary operational lead for assigned events, coordinating with clients, vendors, facilities and internal teams to make sure shows are delivered on time, on budget and to the client’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end show management — manage assigned shows from the planning phase through tear-down and invoice collection, including floor plan administration and work order creation.
  • Client liaison & stakeholder coordination — work directly with clients, show management, exhibitors, facility staff and vendors to ensure seamless delivery and build strong working relationships.
  • Service kit & documentation oversight — oversee creation, approval and distribution of service kits and confirm internal completion of work orders.
  • On-site leadership — supervise show set-up and breakdown, provide hands-on oversight at the venue and resolve issues in real time.
  • Budget and invoice control — manage show budgets, forecast and track costs, generate show invoices and follow through until collection.
  • Process & KPI management — follow and contribute to Show Planning processes, adhere to SOPs, and manage to provided KPIs.
  • Estimating and product knowledge — apply basic pricing/estimation understanding and maintain familiarity with GES and onPeak products and services.
  • Reporting & escalation — produce status updates, escalate critical issues, and ensure corrective actions are documented and implemented.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum ~2 years’ experience in trade shows, conventions, hospitality or a related environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable running and improving processes; able to work in lateral work streams and manage multiple systems.
  • Basic accounting/finance familiarity to manage budgets and invoicing.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to multi-task in fast-moving, sometimes noisy event environments.
  • Willingness to travel — estimated 25–50% travel for shows and on-site support.
  • Remote flexibility — role is remote but candidates must be within about one hour of a GES facility to support onsite needs.
  • Ability to work with union and non-union staff and adapt to varied site conditions.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Role requires adapting to shifting priorities and working under pressure, often on event floors with crowds, noise and variable temperatures.
  • May require evening, weekend, and extended hours during peak event periods.
  • Tasks include both independent work and close team collaboration across departments.
