We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Clerical Assistant (Legal Clerk) to support our insurance defense team within the Tort practice group. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and effective case management while working in a fast-paced, largely paperless legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and case-related support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling, calendaring court deadlines, subpoena data entry, and organizing case files
• Maintain and manage digital case files, ensuring documents are accurately filed, clearly labeled, and easily accessible
• Track case progress, deadlines, and deliverables to help keep matters on schedule
• Process electronic correspondence and associate communications with the correct case files
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and physical materials while supporting a paperless workflow
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and team members to respond to inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Prior experience in a legal support or clerical role is required
• Familiarity with insurance defense or Tort matters is preferred
• Knowledge of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) case support is a plus
• Experience using electronic document management systems
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
