Description:
Soleo Health Inc is seeking an experienced Clearance Specialist to support specialty infusion pharmacy operations remotely within the United States. This role focuses on managing patient referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining payer authorizations, and ensuring a smooth intake process for home infusion services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payer requirements, prior authorization procedures, and reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify benefits for all patient insurance plans, including coverage for medications, supplies, and related infusion services
- Document coinsurance, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements accurately
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefits, payer contracts, or self-pay pricing
- Initiate and follow up on prior authorizations, pre-determinations, and medical reviews, including collecting clinical documentation
- Communicate referral status, coverage, and updates with patients, referral sources, and internal teams
- Assist patients with enrollment in manufacturer copay assistance programs or foundations when financial need is identified
- Prepare new patient start-of-care paperwork
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy intake or reimbursement experience
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement, including NDC and HCPCS fee schedule interpretation
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple referrals while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- CPR certification preferred
