Overview

As a Claim Coordinator, you will act as the primary guide and point of contact for claimants, beneficiaries, family members, financial advisors and other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a claim — from initial submission through decision communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage each claim end-to-end, coordinating communications and documentation across claimants, examiners, care providers, financial advisors, and other third parties.
  • Provide clear education and guidance about the claims process, ensuring claimants and beneficiaries understand next steps and timelines.
  • Use phone, mail and electronic channels to collect required records and follow up with providers or vendors to obtain supporting documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, de-escalate difficult interactions, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Identify process gaps or recurring issues and collaborate with peers and management to recommend improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal procedures and immediately apply changes to customer interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the claims organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and emotional situations with patience and empathy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and aptitude for learning internal systems.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and adaptability in a changing environment.
