Description:
Al Marwan Group is currently seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function across its construction and manufacturing businesses in the UAE. This senior role reports directly to the Group CFO and plays a vital part in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making at the leadership level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in full compliance with IFRS standards
• Monitor project profitability, cost allocation, and revenue recognition across multiple projects
• Manage manufacturing costing processes, including BOM analysis, WIP valuation, and cost variance reporting
• Establish, implement, and maintain robust internal financial control systems
• Lead annual budgeting exercises and periodic forecasting activities
• Track financial performance against approved budgets and provide detailed variance analysis
• Supervise project accounting, billing cycles, subcontractor payments, and retention management
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers)
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance performance and efficiency
• Drive continuous process improvements and support digital finance transformation initiatives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic business decisions

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is highly preferred
• At least 10 years of accounting experience, ideally within construction and/or manufacturing sectors in the UAE
• Strong expertise in IFRS, project accounting, manufacturing costing, and UAE VAT regulations
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, YARDI, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven leadership abilities and strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
