Description:
Marriott Hotel Production City, Dubai is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join its Finance team. This opportunity is suitable for finance professionals with strong hotel accounting experience who can manage financial operations, reporting, controls, and accounting team activities within a luxury hospitality environment.
The successful candidate will oversee accounting functions, support financial planning, ensure compliance with UAE accounting practices, and contribute to accurate financial reporting. Candidates with previous 5-star hotel experience and knowledge of Marriott systems will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record keeping.
• Oversee month-end closing activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, internal controls, and financial procedures.
• Review financial statements, reports, and accounting records for accuracy.
• Manage and support accounting team members while ensuring efficient workflow.
• Monitor hotel finance operations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure proper utilization and management of hotel accounting systems and processes.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within 5-star hotels in the UAE.
• Strong background in hotel finance and accounting operations.
• Experience with month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting practices and financial controls.
• Experience managing and guiding accounting teams.
• Knowledge of hotel accounting systems and processes.
• Marriott brand experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
