A modern and dynamic Japanese restaurant in Dubai is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie – Sushi to join its culinary team. If you have strong experience in Japanese cuisine, excellent knife skills, and a dedication to maintaining high culinary standards, this is a great opportunity to showcase your talent in a vibrant and growing kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare premium-quality sushi, sashimi, and nigiri following exact restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and strong hygiene practices within your designated station.
- Contribute creative ideas and assist in developing new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of seafood and authentic Japanese ingredients.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Uphold consistency in portioning, presentation, and overall product quality.
- Support junior kitchen staff and help foster a positive, professional working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Sushi CDP in a Japanese or high-end dining restaurant.
- Exceptional knife skills with a solid understanding of both traditional and contemporary sushi-making techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese products, seafood grading, and correct storage procedures.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management abilities.
- Must currently be located in the UAE.
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
