Ticketmaster is looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused Chargeback Analyst to join its growing Chargeback Team. This role plays a critical part in protecting the business from financial losses while ensuring a smooth and trusted experience for fans across domestic and international markets. The position supports global operations and works closely with fraud, finance, and compliance teams.

About the Team:
The Chargeback Team operates behind the scenes to research disputes, compile supporting documentation, and build strong cases to recover funds. The team partners closely with payment processors, financial institutions, and internal fraud teams to reduce chargeback exposure while keeping customer experience at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review submitted chargeback cases and supporting evidence using dispute resolution guidelines from acquirers and card networks.
  • Manage incoming chargebacks, retrieval requests, and claims across all major card brands.
  • Investigate disputed transactions and resolve cases within defined timelines and bank regulations.
  • Analyze sales data, transaction records, and documentation to determine dispute validity and recommend outcomes such as refunds or manual charges.
  • Track and monitor dispute and chargeback trends, preparing reports with insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Use internal systems and external tools for payment processing, investigations, and case management.
  • Communicate with customers, fans, payment processors, and financial institutions to gather necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies while safeguarding sensitive customer and payment data.
  • Collaborate with fraud, customer support, finance, and compliance teams to support investigations.
  • Contribute to strategies that reduce future chargebacks through process improvements and preventative controls.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in chargebacks, fraud, or payment operations.
  • Strong understanding of credit card dispute processes, bank regulations, and card brand rules.
  • Experience handling international transactions and working with multiple payment processors.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with dispute management systems and payment platforms is preferred.
  • Proven ability to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
