Description:
Regal Rexnord is seeking a skilled and experienced Category Manager Sr – Electronics to oversee global supplier relationships and drive sourcing strategies for electronic components and related materials. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in procurement, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and category strategy development. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for electronic categories including switches, terminals, capacitors, EMS suppliers (PCBA’s), and cord sets.
• Coordinate sourcing activities across business units to ensure high performance in cost efficiency, quality, and delivery standards.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve best value in terms of cost, quality, and service levels.
• Lead supplier evaluations, manage relationships, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Support new product development (NPD) initiatives through sourcing input and supplier collaboration.
• Identify and implement Best Value Country (BVC) sourcing strategies and localization projects.
• Conduct make-versus-buy analysis and lead material cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with the legal team for contract development and compliance.
• Prepare RFQ packages, analyze bids, and provide recommendations for supplier selection.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and streamline supply chain processes.
• Mentor junior sourcing professionals and provide leadership in supplier management practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or APIC Certification preferred.
• Proven record of achieving Material Cost Out (MCO) savings and Best Value Country (BVC) sourcing results.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop strong internal and external business relationships.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a strong plus; Chinese language skills are also an advantage.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
