About the role:
Join Aegon’s finance team as a Cashiering Specialist responsible for daily cash operations and reconciliation. You’ll review incoming payment reports, apply funds accurately, and handle outgoing payment activity while maintaining audit-ready records and supporting the broader accounting function.

Responsibilities:

  • Review daily incoming wires, ACH and bank reports; research and apply funds to the correct accounts.
  • Process outgoing payments including checks, wires and electronic funds transfers (EFT) as required.
  • Reconcile payments between internal systems, bank statements and Accounting.
  • Investigate and resolve returned or unmatched items and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Perform cash functions, monitor incoming wire activity and maintain daily operational logs.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and documentation to support audits and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Background in business operations, banking or cash management preferred.
  • Strong numeracy, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning internal systems.

Office environment:

  • Hybrid work schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday).

Location:

  • Cedar Rapids, IA (onsite/hybrid as noted).

Compensation & additional details:

  • The typical pay range for this position is $15.00 – $17.00 per hour. This is a good-faith estimate and starting pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and business needs.
  • This role is generally eligible for an annual bonus under company plans, at the company’s discretion.
