Description:
Numotion, North America’s largest provider of mobility products and services, is seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to join our nationally-centralized team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate posting of revenue-related cash receipts, including manual and automated entries, and contributes to the overall success of billing and collections operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance tasks, including routine internal audits to ensure accurate posting of payments, adjustments, copays, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Timely and accurately report results from audit reviews.
- Assist managers with researching escalated posting issues and training Cash Posting Coordinators.
- Participate in testing new software or procedures and act as a point of contact for questions during implementation.
- Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities and support training efforts.
- Post revenue-related A/R cash receipts and/or denials accurately and promptly.
- Convert payer-specific denial or payment codes into HIPAA-compliant reject codes.
- Download and upload 835 files from clearinghouses into the billing system.
- Balance posting batches and participate in mid-month and month-end balancing as assigned.
- Research, track, and trend payment discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
Other Functions:
- Assist with balancing efforts and resolving escalated posting errors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- High school diploma required.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in posting transactions and inquiries.
- In-depth knowledge of posting software and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ten-key data entry skills preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues, and make recommendations for resolution.
- Exceptional reliability, dependability, and accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining professional quality standards.
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to concentrate while managing multiple tasks.
- Use of hands and vision to complete tasks accurately.
- Ability to work overtime as needed during month-end.
- Capable of working in a quiet, low-interaction environment.
