Description:
Numotion, North America’s largest provider of mobility products and services, is seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to join our nationally-centralized team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate posting of revenue-related cash receipts, including manual and automated entries, and contributes to the overall success of billing and collections operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance tasks, including routine internal audits to ensure accurate posting of payments, adjustments, copays, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Timely and accurately report results from audit reviews.
  • Assist managers with researching escalated posting issues and training Cash Posting Coordinators.
  • Participate in testing new software or procedures and act as a point of contact for questions during implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities and support training efforts.
  • Post revenue-related A/R cash receipts and/or denials accurately and promptly.
  • Convert payer-specific denial or payment codes into HIPAA-compliant reject codes.
  • Download and upload 835 files from clearinghouses into the billing system.
  • Balance posting batches and participate in mid-month and month-end balancing as assigned.
  • Research, track, and trend payment discrepancies and communicate findings to management.

Other Functions:

  • Assist with balancing efforts and resolving escalated posting errors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail in posting transactions and inquiries.
  • In-depth knowledge of posting software and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ten-key data entry skills preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues, and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Exceptional reliability, dependability, and accountability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining professional quality standards.
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills.

  • Ability to concentrate while managing multiple tasks.
  • Use of hands and vision to complete tasks accurately.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed during month-end.
