About the Role:
As the Business Operations Associate Manager, you will play a central role in scaling and optimizing the internal systems that allow Kindred to deliver exceptional travel experiences. This is a dynamic, analytical, and operationally hands-on position where you will collaborate across departments to refine processes, improve data visibility, and deliver insights that guide strategic decisions.
Reporting directly to the Business Operations Lead, you’ll be part of a lean but high-performing operations team. While the position is remote, a preference is given to candidates located in or near New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create structured, repeatable internal systems and workflows to address complex operational needs
- Conduct efficiency reviews and operational audits to identify and implement improvements
- Manage and deliver high-impact analytics projects that span across operations and other business functions
- Build performance dashboards and data tools that offer actionable insights and align with company KPIs
- Collaborate closely with both the Product and Operations teams to prioritize and execute key initiatives
- Develop and document scalable playbooks, frameworks, and best practices for internal use
- Support company leadership with strategic, data-driven recommendations
- Adapt quickly and take ownership of high-priority projects as needs evolve
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5–8 years of experience in business operations, strategy, analytics, or similar roles
- Proficient in SQL (a live SQL challenge will be part of the interview process)
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort solving ambiguous challenges with structure
- Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify and convey complex information
- Experience working across teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to quickly translate insights into action
- Self-aware, able to discern when to lead independently and when to seek collaboration
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in an early-stage startup or hyper-growth company
- Background in consulting or investment banking, ideally followed by in-house tech experience
- Prior work in process improvement or change management
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Trevor, Mode, Metabase, or similar
- Passion for scaling internal operations and driving cross-functional collaboration

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $135,000, depending on experience, location, and other relevant factors. Total compensation also includes equity and other employee perks.
