Description:
CNO Financial Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth and operational initiatives across its registered investment advisory (RIA) and broker/dealer platforms. This role is responsible for fostering strong partnerships with Financial Representatives, Financial Advisors, vendors, and internal teams while supporting advisor engagement, platform development, field communications, and compliance alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee RIA platform programs, including pricing, systems, and processes to optimize business outcomes.
  • Manage the business content of the firm’s Form ADV disclosures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, vendors, wholesalers, and platform providers.
  • Identify opportunities and drive adoption of new RIA programs through training, promotion, and vendor partnerships.
  • Develop messaging for marketing campaigns, create content and presentations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee management and coordination of approved programs and product lists.
  • Provide oversight for portfolio construction support and other services for rep-advised and rep-guided programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and field development teams on campaigns, recruiting, and training initiatives.
  • Manage field communications, webinars, promotions, and advisory council sponsorships.

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate data and define potential risks.
  • Strong knowledge of the RIA channel and wealth management.
  • In-depth understanding of FINRA, SEC, and state regulations, particularly the Investment Advisors Act of 1940.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial/presentation software.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational skills for managing multiple projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing, or 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 required.
  • Master’s degree, Series 4 or 53, and 10+ years of industry experience are advantageous.
