NerdWallet is seeking a Business Development Associate to help drive growth and optimize revenue opportunities within its Small Business Lending Marketplace. This role is ideal for a strategic and analytical professional who can manage partner relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support the expansion of a high-performing lending ecosystem.

The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for lending partners, manage marketplace operations, analyze performance data, and develop strategies to improve lead quality, partner outcomes, and revenue growth. This remote opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams while contributing to innovative financial solutions for small businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value SMB lending partnerships while ensuring operational success and revenue growth.

• Serve as the primary contact for lending partners and support successful partnership management.

• Manage onboarding processes for new partners and ensure smooth integration and performance improvement.

• Monitor partner performance, analyze marketplace data, and prepare reports for internal and external business reviews.

• Identify growth opportunities through data analysis and develop strategic recommendations.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and partnership opportunities using data-driven insights.

• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Engineering, and other teams to execute partnership initiatives.

• Present business cases for new product features and marketplace enhancements.

Requirements:

• 4–5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic account management.

• Experience managing the supply side of a two-sided marketplace.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and revenue opportunities from complex datasets.

• Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, BI platforms, and SQL is a plus.

• Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

• Experience with stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship building.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong knowledge of:

    • CRM and partner reporting tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Mode, or SQL.

    • Data analysis, marketplace optimization, and performance reporting.

    • Partnership management and business growth strategies.
