Description:
Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Native Organization is seeking a proactive and highly organized Business Administrator to provide operational and administrative support to leadership, program managers, and engineering teams. This role plays a pivotal part in enabling team productivity, managing administrative priorities, and acting as a trusted liaison for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values curiosity, empathy, and accountability.
What you’ll do:
- Provide complex calendar management and meeting logistics for managers and cross-functional teams, including room bookings and AV troubleshooting.
- Support the rhythm of business (ROB) by scheduling recurring meetings, identifying key stakeholders, and maintaining meeting cadences that keep the team aligned.
- Handle resource and travel management: track equipment and inventory, process expense reports in accordance with Microsoft policy, manage discretionary budgets, and coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries.
- Support vendor and supplier onboarding, purchase order processes, and basic budget tracking in partnership with Finance and Business Managers.
- Assist with space planning and headcount activities, including onboarding logistics, reporting, transfers, and offboarding transactions.
- Plan and coordinate team events, project deliverables, and operational initiatives—owning outcomes end-to-end when required.
- Act as a point of contact for executives, partners, customers, and external stakeholders, maintaining professional and timely communication.
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative, business support, or customer service experience (or equivalent).
- At least 1 year experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (events, morale, travel, training).
- Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills with an ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguous situations.
- Comfortable working in a high-velocity, collaborative engineering organization and supporting senior leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant administrative or business support experience, especially with scheduling, travel coordination, and event logistics.
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with budget tracking, vendor management, and headcount tools.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft and/or customer security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check (upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter).
- Familiarity with corporate travel and expense tools is helpful.
