Position Overview:
Tres Health is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Supervisor to lead the daily workflow of the billing department. This individual will oversee a team of four Billing Specialists, ensuring that billing tasks are completed accurately, consistently, and within set timelines. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to problem-solve, and a commitment to maintaining smooth billing operations across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Billing Specialists team, ensuring all billing activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments such as Finance, Eligibility, and Claims to resolve billing discrepancies or inquiries.
- Follow established billing procedures and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices, account details, and billing updates.
- Manage the shared billing inbox, assign incoming tasks, and ensure timely responses.
- Assist with audits and prepare reports to validate billing accuracy, rates, and enrollment data.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance billing performance.
- Support training programs and provide performance feedback in collaboration with management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of billing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational abilities and high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of health insurance billing is an advantage.
- 2+ years of experience working in a TPA environment is preferred.
Work Schedule & Remote Work:
This is a full-time remote position requiring availability during standard Eastern Time (EST) business hours. Flexibility is expected for key deadlines, cross-department meetings, and occasional travel of up to 10% for vendor sessions or team collaboration.
