The Billing Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust revenue cycle, supporting the Revenue Cycle Manager and collaborating with cross-functional business partners. This role is integral to ensuring accounts are up-to-date and scalable infrastructure is in place to support growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable, overseeing the billing cycle from charge entry to collections follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and billing information.
  • Triage and respond to customer inquiries or disputes, reconciling invoice discrepancies.
  • Work with third-party billing vendors to ensure accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Process invoices and payments for partnerships and other charges.
  • Ensure the accuracy of invoicing for the company and its customers.
  • Contribute ideas and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Assist with system implementations, new policy rollouts, and ad-hoc accounting projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience; healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and NetSuite.
  • Highly analytical with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of technical competence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
  • Positive, proactive, and accountable team player.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing responsibilities.
