We’re Hiring – Billing Specialist (Remote)

Bigham Cable Construction is seeking a highly organized Billing Specialist to support TCS Communications’ Program Operations and Finance teams. This role is essential for ensuring accurate billing, proper documentation, and timely invoice processing for telecom construction and project-based work. The position involves collaboration with project managers, operations teams, and accounting staff to verify data, issue invoices, reconcile accounts, and maintain compliance with company and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices for telecom construction and engineering services per contract terms and company policies.
• Compile and verify field documentation required to complete customer work orders; prepare invoice close-out packages.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and support teams to ensure accurate billing data, including labor, materials, milestones, deliverables, subcontractor invoices, and approved change orders.
• Review and validate subcontractor invoices to ensure alignment with project production and billing.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collaborate with AR and collections teams for timely payment and resolution of past-due accounts.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputed invoices with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Produce monthly billing and revenue reports, track accruals, and support month-end reconciliation and forecast-to-actual analysis.
• Maintain organized program files, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.
• Support internal and external audits by providing billing documentation and variance explanations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including billing automation, process enhancements, and workflow efficiency.
• Conduct design review and contract unit estimate take-offs as required.
• Stay up to date on telecom and construction billing standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older and reside in FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, CO, TX, or TN.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Looker Studio).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive working relationships.
