Description:


TCS Communications, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in the United States. This role is essential for supporting Program Operations and Finance by ensuring accurate billing, proper documentation, and timely invoice processing for telecom construction and project-based work. The Billing Specialist will collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and accounting staff to verify billing data, issue invoices, and support accounts receivable reconciliation. This position plays a key role in TCS Communications’ mission to connect communities through broadband infrastructure while maintaining high standards of integrity, innovation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices for telecom construction and engineering services according to contract terms, billing schedules, and company policies.
• Compile and verify all field documentation required to complete customer work orders; prepare invoice close-out packages per company and client standards.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and support teams to ensure accurate billing data including milestones, labor hours, materials, deliverables, subcontractor invoices, and approved change orders.
• Review and validate subcontractor invoices for accurate production and billing alignment.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and collaborate with AR and collections teams to ensure timely payments and resolution of past-due accounts.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputed invoices in coordination with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Produce monthly billing and revenue reports, including billed vs. planned performance, deferred revenue, billing backlog, accruals, and forecast variance analysis.
• Track weekly accruals and provide timely updates for accurate reporting.
• Maintain accurate project and customer data in the accounting system.
• Organize program files (electronic and physical) to ensure audit readiness.
• Complete project close-out activities to capture all revenue and costs.
• Support internal and external audits by providing billing documentation and variance explanations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and billing automation to enhance accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with month-end reconciliation and forecast-to-actual analysis.
• Conduct design review and contract unit estimate take-offs as required.
• Stay current on telecom and construction billing standards, including percentage-of-completion, retainage, and change orders.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Looker Studio).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and support decision-making.
• Collaborative team player capable of maintaining positive working relationships.
