Description:
Lexitas is seeking a meticulous and organized Billing Specialist to join their rapidly growing legal services team. This fully remote role provides a company-issued laptop and a fully equipped home office setup. The Billing Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the full billing cycle, day-to-day AR/AP processing, and collaborating closely with Finance and Accounting to enhance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate client invoices using billing sheets and consolidate service details with correct pricing, amounts, and descriptions.
• Apply structured rate tables and established billing guidelines; produce consolidated invoice summaries as needed.
• Transmit invoices electronically or by mail and respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding invoices and pricing.
• Perform daily AP processing, ensuring transactions align with company financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain updated vendor files, file numbers, and AP listings.
• Support AR by assisting Collections and documenting outcomes in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Accounting to identify and implement process improvements.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department.
Candidate Requirements:
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM/ERP systems.
• Clear, professional communication and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility for occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
