Description:
Homecare Homebase is seeking a dedicated Home Health and Hospice Medical Biller to manage accurate and timely billing and collections for all claims submitted to non-Medicare insurance health care programs. This role is essential for supporting cash flow and ensuring that home health and hospice organizations can focus on providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process, monitor, and collect Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims according to payor requirements.
• Verify billing data accuracy and correct errors as needed.
• Import and post payments from all payor types.
• Create and distribute financial reports as required.
• Resolve claims timely, including handling appeals.
• Follow up on accounts for billing and collections via phone, resubmissions, and adjustments for errors.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle personal information responsibly.
Requirements:
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Experienced in using DDE, WayStar/eSolutions, Ability, or other common clearinghouses.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team player who contributes to a positive and collaborative environment.
• Home health/hospice experience preferred.
• US citizen or green card holder eligible to work in the US without export control restrictions.
