Description:
Sentrillion is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage day-to-day administration of project billing, direct project oversight, and monthly reporting. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, compliance with U.S. GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and remit compliant invoices while communicating with clients to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain project billing status reports and distribute routine Accounts Receivable tracking.
- Review unit billing accounts monthly and prepare Unit Entries.
- Accumulate, validate, and review project costs according to the company’s cost structure.
- Administer tasks in the company’s cost accounting system, including project and workforce setup and maintenance.
- Reconcile project funding, costs, and employee expense claims to ensure compliance with contracts and policies.
- Assess departmental processes for efficiency improvements and maintain comprehensive process documentation.
- Communicate effectively with department staff, project management, and other support functions.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting in support of a U.S. federal contractor.
- Knowledge of U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government award documents.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, XLOOKUP, pivot tables), SharePoint, and Adobe Professional.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP (minimum 3 years in Projects domain).
- Familiarity with government invoicing portals (WAWF/IPP) and CLIN-level invoice entry.
Work Environment:
- Primarily remote with occasional office or meeting attendance.
- Fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring adaptability, motivation, and collaboration.
- Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, using hands/fingers, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds. Close vision required.
