Role Overview:
We are hiring a senior-level Billing Specialist III to join the Finance team. This role acts as a billing subject matter expert who independently prepares and processes complex client invoices, enforces billing policies, supports project managers, and helps ensure accurate revenue recognition. The position offers room for growth within the Finance organization.
Work Arrangement & Eligibility:
• This is a remote, work-from-home position.
• Candidates must be located in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.

Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate regularly with project managers across multiple offices to coordinate billing activities.
• Prepare, review, and process high-volume, complex invoices with minimal supervision.
• Ensure invoices meet client-specific requirements and comply with company policy.
• Submit invoices through client invoicing portals and maintain accurate submission records.
• Manage multiple billing assignments, prioritizing tasks to meet shifting deadlines.
• Analyze and verify cost and time data to confirm billing accuracy.
• Build and maintain billing schedules aligned with contract terms.
• Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Organize and retain billing files and related communications for reference and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an Associate degree.
• At least 5 years of billing experience within a professional services environment.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Project Accounting preferred).
• Familiarity with Time & Material, Fixed Price, and Cost-Plus contract structures, particularly for government-related projects.
• Background in invoicing, cost monitoring, or project controls for professional services.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Approximate salary range: $49,731 – $67,867 per year (good-faith estimate; final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location).
