Description:

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, a leading AmLaw 100 law firm, is currently hiring a Billing Proofreader to join its team across multiple U.S. office locations, including Seattle, Portland, Anchorage, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. This role offers a flexible work arrangement with remote capabilities within reasonable commuting distance of the firm’s offices.

The position focuses on ensuring accuracy and consistency in client billing documents while working closely with billing specialists and internal teams. Key Responsibilities:

• Proofread and edit final billing invoices before client distribution

• Ensure billing entries align with firm style and timekeeping standards

• Review invoices for accuracy and correct attorney edits

• Convert and distribute PDF invoices accurately and on time

• Send invoices via email or mail to clients

• Maintain spreadsheets for client and attorney billing preferences

• Manage monthly billing files and records (electronic and paper)

• Assist with posting cash entries alongside billing specialists

• Provide backup support to billing specialists when required

• Support billing team with additional administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree Certificate in Editing (preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Familiarity with accounting or billing software (Aderant Expert preferred)

• Strong spelling, grammar, and writing skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
