About The Job:
We’re hiring a Billing Operations Manager who will act as the subject-matter expert for billing processes, marrying operational execution with technical solutions. This is an individual contributor role focused on process documentation, user training, SOX-aligned controls, and continuous improvement — with the objective of making billing scalable, accurate, and efficient across Twilio’s order-to-cash workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and teach end-user training for billing systems and processes to ensure consistent execution.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clear process documentation for the billing team.
  • Act as a bridge between billing operations and cross-functional project teams to capture operational requirements.
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement automation opportunities to reduce manual work in billing and provisioning.
  • Support SOX-compliant month-end reconciliations related to billing and provisioning, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with global colleagues across regions (India, Ireland, Mexico City, U.S.) to provide effective 24/7 operational coverage when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in billing operations or order-to-cash.
  • Hands-on experience with Zuora and Salesforce and a solid grasp of how they integrate.
  • Proven experience producing SOPs or detailed process documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Desired (Nice-to-have):

  • Experience in SaaS / technology companies.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and compliance.
  • Exposure to automation tools, APIs, or integrations to streamline financial operations.
  • Experience with revenue recognition systems (Zuora Revenue, Oracle RMCS, NetSuite Revenue Recognition).
  • Background supporting large-scale system or process migrations.

Location & Travel:

  • This is a remote role for U.S.-based candidates, with hiring restrictions in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, and WA.
  • Occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings or project work.
