Description:
Toast is looking for a skilled and motivated Billing & Collections Data Analyst to join its dynamic Billing Operations team. This position plays a key role in transforming billing data into valuable insights that drive accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain dashboards to track key billing and collections metrics, including accuracy, disputes, overdue accounts, and daily cash flow.
• Investigate and resolve billing inconsistencies while identifying root causes and recommending process improvements.
• Automate recurring reporting and deliver data insights using SQL and business intelligence tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, RevOps, and Product to align billing metrics and ensure data consistency.
• Present findings to leadership in a clear and concise manner, highlighting trends and business impacts.
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the billing and collections workflow.
Requirements:
• 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.
• Expertise in SQL and experience working with Snowflake or similar data environments.
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Hex.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with billing or revenue systems such as Zuora Billing, Oracle NetSuite, or Salesforce.
• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
