Description:
Ensign Services is seeking a Billing Clerk to join their team supporting over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities through Part B Ancillary Billing Services. This role ensures accurate billing, identifies revenue opportunities, and assists facilities with billing processes and software. The position operates remotely, allowing flexibility across most U.S. states.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply SNF AR knowledge and Medicare billing guidelines; Point Click Care (PCC) experience is a plus
• Identify and bill Part B ancillary items per consolidated billing rules
• Provide education and support to business office staff across multiple locations
• Communicate best billing practices and revenue updates with assigned facilities and teams
• Assist with new software implementation and billing procedures
• Organize and analyze complex data extractions to maximize billing opportunities
• Review patient eligibility verifications
• Report KPIs, claim statuses, trends, and onboarding/training schedules
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 1+ year SNF experience with Medicare billing and eligibility recognition
• Proficiency in Point Click Care (PCC) required
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, DDE
• Knowledge of CPT coding and SNF per diem inclusions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to self-manage in a remote environment
• Familiarity with Medicare and state regulatory requirements
