As a Billing and Terminations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring precise, timely, and client-focused financial operations. You will manage all major functions within the Advisory Billing and Terminations Operations area, ensuring accurate fee processing, meticulous record-keeping, and smooth client transitions when ending their management relationship with Empower Personal Strategy. Your efforts help maintain Empower’s commitment to operational excellence and a seamless client experience.

The position follows an 8am – 5pm MST shift. Candidates outside the Mountain Time Zone must be able to work within these hours.

What You Will Do

  • Process prorated Advisory Management fees for accounts closing before the regular monthly fee cycle, ensuring accurate collection and effective client and advisor communication regarding fees or termination procedures via email.
  • Ensure clients terminating Personal Strategy management are billed accurately and asset transfers are processed promptly by preparing paperwork for Wire or ACH disbursements within strict deadlines.
  • Accurately account for all monthly Advisory Management fees collected.
  • Prepare and process monthly billing files, validating that all accounts are charged correctly, including reviewing fee exceptions due to promotions or other circumstances.
  • Serve as a primary contact for inquiries regarding Personal Strategy Terminations, resolving issues professionally and accurately.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial services operations or billing.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
