Fixpoint – Remote Contract Opportunity
Fixpoint is seeking experienced Billing and Posting Clerks for a short-term, fully remote research project with a leading AI company. This project allows you to leverage your expertise in billing operations, accounting, and Health Care/ Social Assistance practices to guide AI development while working on your own schedule.
Project Details:
- Project Length: ~3–4 weeks
- Commitment: Minimum 10 hours per week
- Work Schedule: Fully asynchronous, work when convenient as long as deadlines are met
- Compensation: $35 – $69 per hour (higher for exceptional candidates), paid weekly via Fixpoint
- Classification: 1099 independent contractor, engagement at-will
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of billing data and correct errors
- Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
- Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for services or products
- Operate typing, adding, calculating, or billing machines as required
- Post stop-payment notices to prevent payment of protested checks
- Assist in shaping AI understanding of real-world Health Care and Social Assistance operations
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-time experience in Health Care and Social Assistance billing or related roles
- Native-level English proficiency
- U.S. residency
- Reliable laptop or desktop with internet access
- Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3–4 week engagement
