Description:
Abacus Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting to the team leader, this role is crucial for ensuring accurate client invoicing and maintaining smooth billing operations. The Billing Analyst will collaborate across internal teams and with clients to address billing inquiries, drive process improvements, and contribute to other projects. This position is ideal for IT billing specialists looking to make an impact within a rapidly expanding Managed Service Provider environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal teams and respond to client billing questions submitted via the billing ticket board.
- Collect, clean, and validate data to generate monthly billing reconciliation reports, a critical step in the recurring revenue process.
- Conduct monthly invoice variance analysis by customer and product.
- Lead “first invoice review” meetings for onboarding new clients, collaborating with Sales, Project Management, and Client Experience Management teams to ensure billing accuracy.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients.
- Develop and update process documentation to support operational efficiency.
- Handle ad-hoc projects and reports as needed.
- Post cash applications accurately.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years in a billing role at an IT services business with recurring revenue or an IT consulting firm focused on Dynamics Business Central.
- Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, ConnectWise, and Dynamics 365 Business Central is desired.
- Must reside in Eastern or Central time zone.
