Description:
Sedgwick Government Solutions is seeking a Billing Accountant (Remote) to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to play a crucial role in managing the full cycle of Accounts Receivable and supporting government billing operations.
As part of the Department of Labor (DOL) billings and program administration team, you will ensure accurate and timely client invoicing while maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post bills, invoices, and receipts accurately.
- Verify compliance with federal regulations and contract requirements.
- Receive training to become proficient in client-specific billing systems, including government portals.
- Monitor account balances and statuses weekly to ensure consistency.
- Oversee the complete accounts receivable process and reconcile discrepancies.
- Match payments with invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Reconcile vendor bills and monitor bi-weekly payments for accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to improve billing efficiency and resolve collection issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in accounting preferred (2–3 years of related experience will be considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
