Description:
CVS Health, a national leader in health solutions, is seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to join the Coram/CVS Health National team. This position plays an essential role in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate verification of their insurance coverage for in-home specialty therapies. Working closely with Patient Intake Coordinators and insurance providers, you will contribute to delivering compassionate and efficient healthcare services to patients across the country.

In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for confirming insurance benefits and securing prior authorizations for both new and existing patients. You will handle prescription order processing promptly while maintaining outstanding customer service for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefit Verification: Complete and accurately document benefit verification reviews for patients.
  • Information Support: Provide patients and providers with information on specialty medications and home infusion services.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to regulatory standards, company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordination: Partner with Patient Intake Coordinators to manage new and ongoing accounts.
  • Insurance Assessment: Investigate insurance coverage levels to determine patient eligibility.
  • Communication: Liaise with medical professionals and insurance company representatives to resolve benefit-related queries.
  • Data Management: Enter and maintain accurate data in ACIS to support reporting and outcomes tracking.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance to less experienced colleagues and provide feedback through self-reviews.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience verifying benefits directly with insurance providers.
  • Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Prior work in a healthcare-related environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (Full Time).

Compensation & Benefits:
