We’re Hiring – Benefits Analyst (Remote)
CareFirst, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Benefits Analyst to join our Corporate Compensation team. This remote role involves administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance, and serving as a point of contact for employees, vendors, and people leaders regarding benefits-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer Federal, State, and Company leave programs, liaising between vendors and employees while advising on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters.
• Act as the primary contact for escalations related to leave and disability cases from vendors, employees, or people leaders.
• Verify integrity of timekeeping and pay-related processes to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Prepare, validate, and manage invoicing related to benefits programs.
• Translate technical benefits information into clear communication for non-technical audiences.
• Conduct research on benefits plans, healthcare regulations, and insurance changes.
• Provide excellent customer service while meeting deadlines and managing multiple demands from internal and external customers.
Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of retirement plans, pensions, 401(k)s, IRAs, and Roth IRAs.
• Ability to learn and manage various health insurance plans (HMOs and PPOs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with challenging or demanding customers.
• Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) preferred but not required.
Additional Information:
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• The position involves primarily seated work, with occasional walking or standing.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds required.
