Description:
DAWSON is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service while assisting in designing and implementing quality benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, recommending, and implementing new benefits programs.
- Evaluate and improve internal processes to enhance efficiency.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and compliance testing.
- Maintain employee benefits files and group benefits database.
- Provide customer service support to both internal and external customers.
- Prepare materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment sessions.
- Educate employees on benefits and available options.
- Oversee Workers Compensation administration and reporting processes.
- Gather employee data and manage monthly billings, including preparation of vouchers for administrative fees.
- Ensure ACA compliance and manage the leave of absence process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and priority-setting skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting benefits programs, with California and Hawaii compliance preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Available 8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
