Description:


Docker is seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our Supply Chain Security group. Our mission is to simplify application development and deployment through containerization technology, trusted by over 20 million monthly users. This role focuses on developing secure, scalable, and efficient backend services that enhance Docker’s registry and SaaS offerings, contributing directly to the global developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and monitor microservices and serverless components in cloud environments (AWS) for high performance and reliability
  • Build and improve automation tools, including GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Grafana dashboards, streamlining development and operational workflows
  • Address complex engineering challenges related to container images and metadata delivery at scale
  • Design and enforce security and compliance policies across the delivery pipeline
  • Take collective ownership of the security posture and developer experience related to container images
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features that reinforce supply chain security

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-based microservices (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in Go and modern programming languages
  • Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases in high-volume environments
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices: code review, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and testing
  • Experience working independently across distributed and remote teams
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure automation and security frameworks (e.g., SLSA, SOC 2, FedRAMP) is a plus
