Atomic North is currently hiring an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support a large-scale, high-impact data modernization initiative based in Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time onsite role suited for professionals who have strong hands-on expertise in building and optimizing enterprise-grade data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern data solutions that support advanced analytics, governance, and performance optimization. The role requires deep technical expertise in Databricks and related Azure services, along with a strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience working as an Azure Data Engineer on enterprise-scale data platforms
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks in production environments
- In-depth knowledge of Databricks Runtime (DBR) and its performance features
- Experience working with Lakeflow and modern data orchestration frameworks
- Strong implementation experience using Unity Catalog for data governance and security
- Demonstrated experience migrating data workloads from Synapse Analytics to Databricks
- Solid expertise in Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and query/performance optimization techniques
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be willing and available to work onsite in Abu Dhabi
- Valid passport is mandatory
- UAN number is required
- Updated CV highlighting relevant data engineering and Azure project experience
