Description:
[Fidelis Care is seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist I to join our Medical Management/Health Services team. This role is vital in supporting our 28 million members by ensuring prior authorization requests are processed accurately and within contractual timelines.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Support and process prior authorization requests according to insurance guidelines.
- Maintain and update authorization records in the utilization management system.
- Assist the utilization management team in tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals per policy standards.
- Document medical information such as history, diagnosis, and prognosis for clinical review.
- Stay current with healthcare policies, authorization procedures, and organizational guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all company policies and standards.
✅ Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
✅ Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Entry-level position; little to no prior experience needed
- Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred
