Description:
Butler Aerospace & Defense is seeking a detail-oriented Auditor to work remotely across the United States with required travel. The Auditor will operate under general supervision, assisting with the development and execution of Internal and Supplier Audit Programs. This role ensures compliance with AS9100D Quality Requirements and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of Internal and Supplier audit schedules
- Conduct 1st Party Internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits
- Conduct Supplier QMS/Product audits
- Monitor 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Party Audit Corrective Actions
- Track site Regulatory and Customer audits
- Report audit results and findings accurately
- Drive corrective actions to closure and follow-up
- Engage in Continuous Improvement plans for audit forms, communications, and quality implementation
Basic Qualifications:
- AS9100 Certification from IAQG Certified Trainer
- Expert knowledge of problem-solving and quality tools such as RCCA, 5 Why, PFMEA, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years relevant experience, OR Advanced degree with 2 years experience, OR 5 years relevant experience without a degree
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or related areas, preferably in aerospace
- Ability to analyze and manipulate data for reports and metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and web applications
- Experience reviewing technical specifications, procedures, and drawings
- Auditor certification AS9110
- Familiarity with industry certifications (AS9100, AS9120, AS9102, ISO9001, AS13002, FAA)
- Experience using SharePoint
