Crete Professionals Alliance (Crete PA) is seeking a motivated and experienced Audit Senior to join our fully remote, fast-growing CPA member firm. This role is ideal for auditors looking for a dynamic work environment where they can leverage their expertise, contribute meaningfully to client engagements, and enjoy the flexibility of remote work. Knowledge of the mortgage industry is a plus but not required. Only U.S. residents will be considered for this position.
Who We Are:
Founded in June 2023, Crete PA is focused on driving growth across accounting and professional service firms in the U.S. Our initial venture included acquiring a majority interest in non-attest assets of a top 300 U.S. national firm, positioning us alongside the top 100 accounting firms by cumulative revenue. With over 30 member firms, several deals under LOI, and substantial committed capital, Crete PA is set to become equivalent to a top 20 firm in aggregate revenue. Backed by ZBS Partners and led by experienced co-founders, Crete PA collaborates with local firms to enhance independence while increasing revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and oversee audit assignments from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize document management software and firm resources to complete audit assignments efficiently.
- Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients, keeping them informed on engagement progress and logistics.
- Build strong client relationships, addressing needs and communicating concerns to the audit team.
- Ensure audits comply with GAAP, industry standards, and mortgage sector regulations.
- Identify and evaluate risks within client operations, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Prepare audit reports, financial statements, and other required documentation with clarity and accuracy.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance audit deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred or in progress
- Minimum of 2 years of audit experience
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proficiency in audit and accounting software, including ProSystem fx, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical standards
