About the job
Sobha Constructions is looking for an Audit Assistant to join its Dubai team and support the internal audit function. This role focuses on helping to document audit work, executing audit procedures across the full audit cycle, and supporting efforts to strengthen internal controls, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work collaboratively with different departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document audit activities clearly and prepare well-structured audit findings and working papers.
  • Execute the complete audit cycle, including assessing risks and controls to verify operational effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Obtain, analyze and evaluate financial and operational data, supporting documents, and reports to substantiate audit conclusions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and compile and maintain risk registers that reflect the company’s exposure and priorities.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend practical risk mitigation measures and potential cost savings.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to present audit findings, gather feedback, and drive improvements in the audit process and operational controls.
  • Assist in preparing internal audit reports that summarize findings, root causes, and suggested corrective actions.
  • Follow up with auditees to collect required details, confirm remediation actions, and close outstanding items.
  • Continuously develop sector knowledge by staying updated on relevant rules, regulations, best practices, audit techniques, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Perform other related tasks and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Audit Manager.
