A leading consulting firm is seeking a highly experienced VAT professional to join their Abu Dhabi office as an Associate or Assistant Director specializing in Indirect Tax. This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in UAE VAT regulations who are looking to take on a leadership position within a dynamic consulting environment.
The selected candidate will play a key role in managing complex VAT engagements, advising clients on indirect tax matters, and ensuring compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations. The position also involves leading teams, building strong client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives across the UAE market.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing complex VAT and indirect tax engagements for a diverse client portfolio
• Providing expert advisory services on UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements
• Ensuring adherence to Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines and policies
• Managing and nurturing client relationships while delivering high-quality consulting services
• Supervising and mentoring team members to ensure project success
• Supporting business development efforts and identifying growth opportunities within the market
Requirements:
• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on UAE VAT experience (mandatory)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required
• Strong expertise in VAT advisory, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience in client management, leadership, and team handling
• Background in consulting firms or Big 4 organizations is highly preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
