Description:
Republic Services is seeking a motivated Associate Account Manager to maintain and grow relationships with existing commercial and industrial customers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on proactive customer engagement, retention, and expanding service offerings to maximize customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively maintain and retain existing customers through daily outreach and follow-ups.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Republic Services’ products, services, pricing structures, and offerings, recommending additional solutions to customers as appropriate.
- Perform contractual re-signs to extend customer relationships and improve profitability.
- Respond to cancellation requests in line with escalation policies.
- Communicate with customers to support pricing initiatives and ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize Salesforce daily to schedule, document, and track calls, meetings, and proposals.
- Capture customer emails, reduce rate restrictions, and manage customer credits.
- Increase customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.
- Meet regularly with the Sales Manager to review retention activities, progress toward goals, and key customer relationships.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. (required)
- 0–2 years of customer service experience (required)

- Experience in the waste or transportation industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage customer relationships
