Job Vacancy: Assistant Housekeeping Manager

  • Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

Novel Hotel City Center is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Assistant Housekeeping Manager to become part of its housekeeping leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure exceptional cleanliness standards, operational efficiency, and an outstanding guest experience across the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the supervision and coordination of daily housekeeping activities
  • Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas consistently meet hotel quality and hygiene standards
  • Conduct and monitor room inspections to guarantee timely room availability
  • Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and productivity management
  • Train, motivate, and provide ongoing guidance to housekeeping team members
  • Help manage inventory, linen control, and ordering of cleaning supplies
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hotel operational policies
  • Prepare routine reports and support administrative tasks within the department

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar housekeeping management role within a luxury hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, procedures, and service standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Hospitality-related diploma or certification will be considered an advantage
