Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join the finance team in Dubai. The role will focus on owning financial reporting and compliance across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closes, supporting audits, and strengthening internal controls.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes and prepare consolidated and statutory financial statements across multiple entities.
- Ensure VAT and corporate tax compliance, prepare and submit filings, and coordinate with tax advisors and local authorities.
- Perform financial analysis including variance analysis, management reporting, and support budgeting/forecasting activities.
- Provide audit support by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and working closely with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle intercompany reconciliations and resolve cross-entity accounting issues.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Solid background in multi-entity financial reporting and consolidation.
- Practical experience with VAT and corporate tax compliance and filings.
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with accounting systems/ERPs and advanced Excel.
- Prior exposure to audit processes and ability to liaise with external auditors.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-border teams.
- Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) is an advantage.
