We are currently seeking a Assistant Accountant to join our finance department and support daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for individuals with an accounting background who want to gain more hands-on experience in bookkeeping and financial tasks.
About the Role
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for handling a variety of routine accounting duties such as reviewing expense reports, processing reimbursements, entering transactions into internal systems, and assisting with invoice reconciliation. This position plays a key role in helping the finance department maintain accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across all financial activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Reconcile invoices and highlight any discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain updated expense reports
- Process reimbursement requests accurately and on time
- Handle preparation of bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into company databases
- Review spreadsheets to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial records
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients and business partners when required
- Review and file payroll documentation
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits
Qualifications:
- Preferred age between 25–35 years
- 2–3 years of UAE experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping practices
- Knowledge of finance regulations
- Good numerical abilities with attention to detail
- Practical experience with MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
