Position Overview:
The ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) Facilitator is responsible for coordinating and conducting meetings related to students in special education programs. This professional ensures that all processes comply with federal and state requirements, manages paperwork, and promotes collaboration among educators, parents, and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate ARD meetings, ensuring all necessary participants are included
  • Oversee compliance with federal and state education regulations
  • Facilitate the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Prepare and organize all ARD meeting documents and ensure timely completion
  • Serve as a liaison between teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote cohesive planning
  • Offer training and guidance on special education compliance and ARD processes

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree with Special Education Certification
  • Experience: Prior school-based experience; familiarity with ARDs, scheduling, and meeting coordination
  • Knowledge: Understanding of special education laws, procedures, and student needs
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Experience providing support or clinical services to children and adolescents
  • Familiarity with teletherapy and electronic recordkeeping systems preferred
