Description:
RealPage, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled AR Specialist IV to manage an assigned portfolio of high-volume and strategic property management company accounts. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable, and is responsible for resolving disputes, reconciling discrepancies, and partnering with clients to maintain account status while reducing delinquent accounts. The position requires strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze customer statements and aging reports, identifying habitually delinquent accounts
  • Contact customers regarding payments, offering options to resolve past-due balances while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, including discrepancies, short payments, and payment-related questions
  • Research and resolve customer disputes, implementing appropriate solutions
  • Conduct account reconciliations and provide detailed solutions for billing or cash application issues at corporate, property, or product levels
  • Organize and lead meetings with customers to address delinquent accounts and review past-due balances
  • Independently determine the best approach to resolve past-due invoices, credits, and on-account cash amounts
  • Collaborate frequently with interdepartmental teams to obtain information regarding outstanding balances
  • Prepare manual consolidated billing files and recommend approaches for customers with special circumstances
  • Identify billing issues, research root causes, and communicate findings for resolution
  • Act as a subject matter expert on AR processes and support or train junior AR Specialists

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
  • Ability to work with multiple software systems to gather and analyze data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Presentation skills for clients and internal teams
